My main research interest is to understand the evolution of cooperation and conflict in animal societies. My research includes both theoretical modeling and empirical field tests.
I am currently working on the Taiwan yuhina, a joint-nesting passerine species with unrelated group members, as a model system to understand the mechanisms and adaptive significance of different degrees of reproductive skew within cooperatively breeding groups.
