Levels of Selection: Assignment #2

Gulls' nests are part of the survival machinery (i.e. "extended phenotype" or "vehicle") of their genes.   Let's look more closely at them, to get a better sense of how they promote the success of the genes of the gulls.   In this exercise we will observe and compare, within and between species, the physical characteristics of the nest sites and nests of herring gulls and of greater black-backed gulls.
