My research focuses on the ecology and evolutionary biology of floodplain forest plants in both tropical and temperate forests. In South Carolina, I am studying specialization in a native species of blueberry that grows in forests subject to periodic flooding and in nearby drought-prone uplands. In Peru, I am investigating the seed dispersal activities of two species of fruit-eating fish.
