This is a large group of student and local volunteers working through Cornell Cooperative Extension.  Volunteers do composting outreach at schools, festivals, and other events.  Through composting, the Ithaca FarmerŐs Market committed to zero waste production this past summer.  New volunteers are trained from February through April and several opportunities exist to learn along side this group during the spring.  Assistance is also requested for improving the design of our zero waste recycling and composting bins and helping with zero waste outreach.
