Senior Research Associate:
I am interested in the application of electrical engineering techniques to neurobiology and animal behavior. Applications include: low-cost, high-performance biological instrumentation, schemes for reducing the dimensionality of biological data, simulation of neural and behavioral systems, and applications of signal processing to biological signals.

Postdoctoral Researchers:
I am investigating the role of monoamine neurotransmitters in the modulation of different vocal behaviors in toadfishes.

Integration of vocal pattern generators and acoustical stimuli.

Graduate Students:
    Tine K. Rubow
I am exploring the effects of circadian rhythm and two progestins on the shifting pattern generation behind midshipman vocalizations.

My research uses a vocalizing species of teleost fish to investigate natural models of stress-related disease states by using evolutionary comparisons.

I am investigating the role of BK channels in auditory physiology of midshipman with specific interest in identifying the molecular mechanisms of seasonal steroid-dependent auditory plasticity in these fish.
